Rønbjerg is situated right by the gentle Lim Fjord, in a peaceful nature with water, fields and forest.

The holiday houses in the Rønbjerg area are very quietly situated. In Rønbjerg you will find peace, clean nature, fresh air, but also a cosy marina with lots of atmosphere, and here you can dine and buy fresh fish among other things. From the harbour and most of the area you can enjoy the views of the Lim Fjord islands Livø and Fur. It is possible to buy groceries in the area, and more shops are available in the towns of Ranum (4 km) and Løgstør (12 km). Many craftsmen have settled in this area, and you are able to visit many of them in their workshops and studios. The area around Rønbjerg offers many leisure activities and cultural sights for the whole family, but it also appeals to you if you merely wish to spend your holiday in peaceful and scenic settings.

Beach
It is possible to swim by the beach of Rønbjerg, but the beach is most suitable for beach activities like for exemple surfing. The nearby beaches by Lendrup (3 km) and Trend (8 km) are recommendable as bathing beaches. Both of these Lim Fjord beaches are good and long bathing beaches with small waves, which make them suitable for children. The beaches are traffic-free.

Nature
Fields, forest and the Lim Fjord characterize the level area, surrounding Rønbjerg. The nature is peaceful and unspoilt here. The scenic forest of Trend Skov, which is situated behind the village of Trend, contains a royal hunting lodge and many good walking paths (8 km towards south). The stream Trend Å, which is winding from Vester Hornum and out towards the Lim Fjord, is very popular among anglers.

Activities
By the holiday centre Rønbjerg Feriecenter you can enjoy a subtropical water world, a health centre and a variety of other activities for both children and adults (with a fee). Anglers will find good opportunities in the Lim Fjord (by the harbour of Rønbjerg and towards the south), in the streams Trend Å and Bjørnsholm Å as well as in the Put & Take fishponds of the area. The fjord is ideal for swimming, sailing, windsurfing and deep-sea fishing. A surf school is available in the area, which once hosted the European surfing championship. The varying landscape offers lovely nature experiences along the many good walking and bicycle routes of the area. Furthermore, a bowling alley, an indoor go-cart track, a glider club and 2 marinas are available in the area. By Gatten near Farsø you will find one of Northern Europe's largest and most scenic golf courses, the Himmerland Golf & Country Club, with challenges for both beginners and experienced golf players (26 km).

Attractions
The impressive three-winged mediaeval monastery of Vitskøl Kloster from the year 1157 is situated by the bay Bjørnsholm Bugt, 4 km south of Rønbjerg. Here it is possible to experience the church ruin, the herb garden and the square with the beautiful buildings. The scenically situated stone age centre Stenaldercentret in Ertebølle describes the nature in and around Ertebølle six or seven thousand years ago as well as the life of the people in this environment. Among other things finds from a stone age kitchen midden are displayed here. A reconstructed village shows what the huts of that time looked like (13 km). The fortification Aggersborg from the year 980 is one of the largest ring castles in Denmark with traces of 48 long houses. The viking castle is very strategically situated by the narrowest part of the Lim Fjord (16 km).

Discoveries
From Rønbjerg you can go with the ferry to the small island Livø. The island is traffic-free and offers a scenic nature with good bathing beaches, large oak forests, many marked walking paths, cliffs, a rich animal life with for instance seals, as well as a quite distinctive peace.
The manor house Hessel on the Louns peninsular is the only preserved manor house in Denmark with a thatched roof. Here you can experience how family and servants lived in the old days (27 km).
The flower park Jesperhus Blomsterpark on the Lim Fjord island Mors is the largest flower park in Scandinavia with colourful flower arrangements, jungle zoo with namely beautiful tropical birds, pirate and play land as well as water world with various activities (55 km).
The lime pit Mønsted Kalkgruber by Stoholm is an endless labyrinth of 2 km illuminated mine passages with both large caves and narrow corridors. Once every hour a show is put on and lights are reflected in the largest lake of the pit (69 km).
